NM Racing Team will field three Mercedes-AMG GT4s in this year’s Iberian Supercars and Supercars España, with each car competing in its respective division.
The Spanish outfit is one of the dominant forces in the championship, having clinched last year’s Teams’ title as well as the Supercars España GT4 Bronze Drivers’ crown, secured by Alberto de Martín and Nil Montserrat. Additionally, the team claimed the GT4 Am Drivers’ titles in both the Spanish series and the Iberian Supercars, thanks to Keith Gatehouse and Igor Sorokin.
For the 2025 season, NM Racing Team will have Max Huber and Tomás Granzella competing in GT4 Pro, Guillermo Aso and Filip Vava in GT4 Pro Bronze, and Ricardo Costa and Ian Loggie in GT4 Bronze.
Tomás Granzella is a young Uruguayan driver with several seasons in his country’s single-seater championships. Last year, he made the leap to Europe, competing in the Ligier European Series - JS2 R and the Prototype Cup Germany. His teammate, Max Huber is Iberian Historic Endurance regular, and also contested last year’s GT4 Winter Series, winning the Am class, and few races of the ADAC GT4 Germany.
Guillermo Aso and Filip Vava are well-known names in the championship, having battled for the GT4 Pro Drivers’ title in Supercars España last year, finishing as Vice-Champions after a closely fought season.
The Mercedes-AMG GT4 Bronze entry will be shared by Ricardo Costa, who made his Iberian Supercars debut last year, securing a fourth and a second-place finish in his division at Valencia, and Ian Loggie, an experienced Gentleman Driver who has raced in GT3, LMP2, and other categories, including a stint in the GT4 South European Series in 2019.
“We’re very excited to continue in Iberian Supercars this year. The championship is proving to be one of the most competitive GT4 series in Europe. With three cars and three strong driver pairings, one in each division, we are ready for the challenge,” said Nil Montserrat, Team Principal of NM Racing Team.
The Iberian Supercars, Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and Supercars España seasons get underway this weekend at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, with all races broadcast live on DAZN Portugal, DAZN España, and the championship’s official social media channels.
