Daughter and father Beatriz Correia and José Correia constitute the sixth team to confirm their presence in the Iberian Supercars and the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, while also securing their participation in Supercars España.
The Portuguese father-daughter duo participated in the last two events of the previous season, held in Jerez and Estoril, at the controls of a Cupra TCR from the JC Group Racing Team. This year, they are stepping up their game by participating in all three Race Ready organised series.
José Correia is thrilled to team up with his youngest daughter again and help her development in the series.
”These championships are an opportunity for Beatriz to gain experience and pace, which are crucial for her stage of career as she's just starting out. We'll have a lot of track time and visit various circuits, which are vital for her growth as a driver. It will be a great pleasure for me to share the Cupra TCR with her and help her progress,” he said.
For Beatriz Correia, who achieved four podiums with her father in the final two events of the season, the level of competition was crucial for her continuity in the series.
"I'm at a stage where I need to gain pace and evolve as a driver, and the level of competition in Iberian Supercars, the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and Supercars España allows me to challenge myself, which is crucial for my improvement. It's going to be an exciting season, and I hope I can end the year as a more complete and competitive driver,” she added.
The Iberian Supercars, Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade, and Supercars España season will commence on May 25 and 26 at the Circuito de Jerez, with an official test scheduled for April 6 at the Autódromo do Estoril.
