IBERIAN YOUTH TO DEBUT IN A GINETTA G40

Manuel Almeida and Miguel Romero will make their debut in the world of GT racing at the Jerez Circuit, where the third round of the Iberian Supercars Endurance takes place, behind the wheel of a Ginetta G40.

In Jerez, the Ginetta G40 will allow Portugal’s Manuel Almeida and Spain’s Miguel Romero to take their first steps in the world of GT racing.

The Portuguese youngster Manuel Almeida has been participating in various classic racing competitions and is now ready to take a step forward and become part of the most important championship in the Iberian Peninsula.

The Spanish driver Miguel Romero has been competing in the TCR Spain with excellent results behind the wheel of an Audi RS3 LMS TCR, currently occupying the third position in the driver's standings.

For Manuel Almeida, "having had the opportunity to have Breda Motorsport manage my project and career allows me to solidify my commitments to those who have supported me, and the Ginetta is proof of that! Together with my coach Nuno Breda, we have been training hard to evolve as a driver. I really want to reach the top of the podium again! After competing in a Mini and going through the Escort, I am very happy to enter the world of GT racing! We will see this race as preparation for the 2024 season.”

For Miguel Romero, "this weekend we will be racing at home, at the Jerez Circuit, in a new championship for me, the Iberian Supercars Endurance. I will share the car with Manuel Almeida. We hope that the weather conditions will be favorable and that we can run without any issues in the free practice sessions to achieve a good setup so that we can be competitive in Saturday's qualifying and Sunday's races. I am very happy to be called to compete in this championship and to promote young drivers.”

The Circuito de Jerez racetrack, part of the Jerez Historic Festival this weekend, and both races, both held on Sunday, can be followed live on the social media of the Iberian Supercars Endurance.
