Veloso Motorsport has completed its 2024 Iberian Supercars / Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade line-up by adding a third car for Nuno Batista and Francisco Carvalho. The GT4 Bronze crew will share a Mercedes-AMG GT4, joining the Audi R8 LMS GT4 and Porsche Cayman RS GT4 programmes already confirmed by the Póvoa do Lanhoso squad.
The two Mercedes AMG GT4 drivers have had extensive careers on Portuguese racing circuits, with occasional ventures abroad. Nuno Batista is a former Portuguese and Spanish GT Champion, while three-time Portuguese circuit racing Champion Francisco Carvalho clinched victory in the Iberian Supercars GT4 Bronze division back in 2022.
Luis Veloso, CEO of Veloso Motorsport, said: “It's the return ‘home’ of two drivers that we've always supported throughout their careers, particularly Francisco Carvalho. He's back to fight for new titles to add to those he won with us.
